Brinkman takes on the role of studio head at 31st Union following the dismissal of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' disappointing initial reveal last fall.
On Wednesday, the company's top executive David Ismailer informed employees about this strategic move through an internal memo, which highlighted that playtesting had revealed the need for a distinct game identity.
The president noted that the developers is now overhauling the project with a revised vision, aiming to satisfy player expectations.

This announcement echoes a similar move taken by the publisher in the summer, when they brought on an industry veteran from the Diablo team to work on the BioShock development group.
